STAGING SUCCESS10/27/2025 You know why old homes sell more than their actual value? They staged it to help the buyer imagine what's possible. They put in a new paint, bought stylish furnitures and décor and sweep the whole house clean. We are only limited by our imagination. If something is presented to us visually, then we will believe. We would open our minds to the possibilities. Then the hearts follow. That's where the purses start to open. How come you don't use staging for other purposes such as working with partners and increasing visibility where funders/donors and supporters are present? Are you even involved in your sector's growth? Are you innovating as opposed to just surviving? Don't get ready, be ready to succeed. Stage your success in the eyes of your stakeholders. Open their eyes to the limitless opportunities.

ANGER10/21/2025 There are different kinds of anger. Righteous anger is directed towards injustice you see around and you're compelled to respond positively to correct the wrongs in society. Unrighteous anger is insisting that you're right and the rest of the world is wrong and that if they need to be listened to, that they should first acknowledge that you're right and apologize to your ancestors and pay them for all the centuries-old grievances. Foolish anger is anger on things that will not help in the situation. Being angry in emergency or in critical situation is the worst response for that. Being angry when you need to first establish the facts is counter-productive. Pretend anger is just a power move, and you'll get a few passes and that's about it. It becomes ineffective when they see the deception. Unexplained anger on the other hand is directed to others with no reasonable explanation or cause, which is actually hidden anger directed to oneself. Anger is a powerful force. Use it positively to make things better. A great positive conflict creates better relationships which leads to more trust and harmony. And if you're the problem, confront the root cause and don't just hurl plates on others' faces and blame them for your misery. When did you last had positive anger?

I WANT YOUR MONEY BUT10/16/2025 "I want your money but I don't want to help you." A few months ago, we were caught up with my daughter's dental issue. She needed to have an extraction treatment but her dentist didn't want to deliver the service. Apparently, we went there once and it was a nightmare. She had a trauma and she flared up and the dentist had to call it quits. We talked to her about it and we will be there to ensure that she won't feel any pain and that everything will turn out better than she imagined. We as parents also personally guaranteed to the dentist that the episode won't happen again. The dentist wouldn't budge, and referred us to two dentists who had to give us a diagnostic and treatment plan that was way over the top. In short, the kid doesn't need all the bells and whistles! Just plain good extraction. Fast forward, we receive the latest text from the dentist that she is due for a dental treatment this month. Oh well, we won't be coming back to your dental office again. |
