CHEATERS8/13/2025 Cheaters in the academe rarely get penalized for their actions. First strike is all about showing compassion when consequences should be enough to deter future actions. If there's no previous record, they assume that these students are harmless and may have judgement lapses. And they don't require an academic integrity course when a student committed an offense. Why? Because they're afraid to cause their mental health distress and other manufactured impacts. And yes, the instructors are to blame. The overworked, underpaid, and voiceless instructors who had to be cheating police, while being a top game in their course delivery and can manage the lack of accountability on the part of the students. When there's a loud student raising hell, administrators buckle down and again, blame the instructor the lateness of the result, causing these students to cheat more, because they get a pass than a fail. And once they get outed for their behaviors, they attack the instructor and anyone who crosses their path. Privilege + fraud = spoiled cheaters! I don't believe that the academic institution will survive AI and all that it entails unless there is a radical shift to how we learn and educate ourselves in the future. The mass education system is no longer conducive for learning, safe, and fair, and I would say effective. I think it's time to have individualized learning path for everyone. The more it starts earlier in K-6 the better for humanity. College is not what it used to be. Now you can buy college and learn nothing. Learning nothing for 5-6 years is money and time down the drain with no clear ROI. The whole system is bankrupt and with the customer-facing dictum, schools cater to students who pay rather than being an institution of academic excellence and integrity. Parents, think twice before putting your children to university. This is not a reminder but a warning.
